The former industrial area south of the railway station is transforming into an open urban quarter, with the new university of applied sciences playing a central role. Three building volumes create a sequence of educational facilities with distinct identities, forming together a polygonal campus connected in all directions. The main building establishes a square-like axis linking the station to the lake and integrates public functions such as a library, exhibition spaces, and the campus hall. Clear façade structures reflect the internal organization. The three parts – main building, practice, and laboratory buildings – are functionally interconnected, flexibly adaptable, and promote exchange, permeability, and open learning formats.
