The new EPFL building complex on the Méridienne connects the west and east campuses via a new footbridge and integrates harmoniously with the surrounding landscape and neighboring buildings. Beneath the structure, a vaulted outdoor area with recreational and service facilities invites visitors to linger. The ground floor serves as a central meeting point with a café, terrace, and access to the auditorium. The upper, modularly designed floors contain flexibly usable work and laboratory spaces with optimal light and ventilation. Research and practical training benefit from adaptable rooms, modern infrastructure, and clear organization. The basement houses the auditorium, technical areas, and the "Centre du vivant."
