0229Zurich City Police

The new six-storey building for the Criminal Investigation Department of the Zurich City Police adopts the large-scale, industrial volumetrics typical of the neighbourhood. Together with the neighbouring building to the east, it forms a block perimeter with a semi-public inner courtyard and a spacious, landscaped forecourt to the south.
Inside, the individual floors are connected via a generous central courtyard and several two-storey gallery spaces. These create a multitude of pathways and visual references and thus promote exchange among the employees.
