Thanks to the high quality of life Geneva offers, the city is enjoy­ing continuous job and population growth. Through densi­fi­cation, the quarter Praille Acacias Vernets offers an oppor­tunity to expand the number of city-centre work, residen­tial, and recre­ational spaces. The premises of the former bar­racks of Les Vernets on the banks of the Arve River was vacated by the army, and has now been made avail­able for a project which comprises approxi­mately 1500 residential units and associa­ted service provi­ders, along with leisure and recre­ational activities.
