0275Roningerpark Rheinfelden

Ronigerpark, located between the old town and the train station, is currently somewhat inconspicuous but will become a defining feature of Rheinfelden’s urban landscape through the new Bahnhofplatz redesign. The proposed intervention enriches the historic park with an inviting interior, creating a welcoming space for visitors and a peaceful meeting place for residents. Existing structures and vegetation are respected and integrated into the design. A new practice and office building replaces the former carriage house, following the typology of edge development. The new youth hostel is designed as a pavilion-like, organically shaped building set within the park, featuring a wooden facade, green roof, and views of the greenery. The ground-floor restaurant opens directly onto the park.
