0276Campus Wattwil

The design understands the campus in Wattwil as part of a continuous landscape space along the Thur. A compact, linear building volume acts as a noise barrier toward the road and opens up toward the river. A new slow-mobility axis with a bridge connects the railway station, campus, and riverside area. The buildings are embedded in the landscape as freestanding volumes, creating differentiated outdoor spaces. The foyer forms the social centre, while flexible classroom wings and a clear structural system allow for a wide range of uses.
