The new Guggenheim Museum in Helsinki consists of three ellipsoidal volumes twisted against each other, situated on a landscaped platform by the water. The facade combines visible timber framework with glass, meeting both aesthetic and structural requirements. A central circular atrium connects the volumes, creating a flexible, naturally lit exhibition space. The building has no front or back and is accessible from all directions, seamlessly integrating into the city and nature. The connection between park, water, and city creates dynamic social and exhibition spaces with a natural flow between indoor and outdoor areas.
